The new LJ Android app came out today. Given the mess of the iPhone app, I want to avoid it. Easy enough, don't update, right?

I sewed nothing yesterday! But the petticoat, waist tape, and organza are all sitting out, waiting to be worked on :)

The piemontaise is so close to done! It just needs a hem and trim. The trim (rolled hems!!) will take ages, but isn't technically necessary when it comes down to it. Even better, I like the dress. The period of angst has passed :)

The skirt is ready to attach. The bodice is done as much as it can be without a skirt. Only thing in my way?

I'd get more done if I could get over this blasted cold. It's the mildest cold I've ever had, but exhausting nonetheless.

Also, I sewed the left sleeve. Or so I thought. The sleeve cap doesn't line up with the elbow when on the arm. It works on the right arm. Looking at the sleeve cap, I'd swear it was a left sleeve. This makes me wonder if I've had ( Read more... )

One. If I'm not crazy about the way the piemontaise bodice fits, I'm just putting a normal skirt on it.

Two. As for wigs, I'm going to do the frizzy formerly known as a hedgehog. The Plume, I think it is in Kendra's book. I had thought of one with a wire base because of a hat, but I've decided to copy girliegirl32786 and make a big cap thing, so it will work.

I have my first cold of the school year! I feel a little better than yesterday, and should be fine for work tomorrow. Or fine enough. However, this means no sewing so far this weekend. Ugh. I don't see myself sewing today either. This is rather annoying. Boo and all that...
